I did not write this story to emphasize, nor glorify death. This book represents a triumphant walk with the Lord to overcome the overwhelming grip death had on me. This journey was simultaneously scary, empowering and enlightening. While on this path, I leaned into The Word of God to seek and uncover answers to my fears. Therefore, the vast majority of this book hinges on the Biblical Word to overcome my shortcomings. I am reminded of the story when Jesus was asleep on a boat amongst the prophets. There was a great storm brewing all around them, tossing the vessel with great force. The prophets awakened Jesus from His slumber to inform Him they were about to die. Jesus stood to His feet, settled the storm, and turned to His prophets and asked them: “Where is Your Faith?” In my case, the storm represents the anger I had towards life due to the idea of death. I was in a constant mode of anger, because I could not understand “why life” if death is an inevitable result. I knew if I ever wanted to find and live in peace, I had to increase my faith in the Almighty. I also knew that if I ever overcame this fear, I would be tasked to share/help others by pointing them in the right direction based on my experiences. So, this book is my way of being obedient to the tasks which were shown to me. I pray it helps you navigate through your thoughts or similar experiences which challenged me.
